3 CHANNEL PARTICLE COUNTER (0.3µm, 0.5µm, 5.0µm)

The Model 3887 handheld particle counter is the perfect economical tool for spot checks in particle-sensitive areas. It’s pre-programmed with ISO standards to certify cleanroom operations. The instrument can also be used to check the effectiveness of filters (such as HEPA) or as an initial investigation tool for IAQ studies, including mold remediation.  It’s convenient, accurate, easy to use and easy to maintain, so it’s highly effective for even applications beyond IAQ investigations, such as cleanroom verification and monitoring, clean bench verification, food processing investigation, assessment of hospital surgical/operating rooms, filter testing, and more.

The particle counter stores up to 10,000 measurements, boasts a three hour operating time on standard AA batteries (although it can be operated with an AC adaptor instead), conveniently uploads data to standard USB device in an RS232C.  All these characteristics fit into a 1.5-pound ergonomic device that fits comfortably in your hand, even during those long days on the job site.  Each unit comes with a bundle of useful extras, including the Isokinetic Probe, AC Adapter, Zero Filter, Battery & Charger, Utility Software, Communication Cable, Instrument Stand, Carrying Case, NIST Certificate.  The calibration for the NIST certificate is done locally in our lab in Andover, NJ allowing for speedy turnaround time.  These extras not only allow you to get started with particle testing right out of the box, but they add to the already incredible value for which the Model 3887 has become associated with by the pros who use the instrument out in the field.

We know that selecting a particle counter can be very involved and is often entirely contingent upon its applications, but the 3 Channel Particle Counter Model 3887 can easily tackle a broad range of duties in the IAQ world.  Nevertheless, Kanomax has you covered if you need to collect particle counts in different circumstances or perhaps with more channels.  For example, check out the Portable 6 Channel Particle Counter 3900 Series for some really heavy duty counting!

We have several varieties including: handheld particle counters in 3 and 5 channel versions; 6-channel portable particle counters with up to a 50LPM flow rate; a highly specialized condensation particle counter that features a 0.015 micron sensitivity making it ideal for Nano-sized particle counting; and a fixed cleanroom monitoring system that can be integrated with a PC for 24/7 monitoring.

now your particle counter guideline.

This guide will explain the main differences between the handheld and portable particle counters and will help you choose the right one for your needs.

Yes, all our instruments come with a calibration certificate.

Annual calibration is recommended to ensure accuracy. However, this can vary based on how often the particle counter is used and the environments it’s used it. Also, some companies have an SOP in place that specifies how often the instrument will need to be serviced. More specifically, regulatory compliances may dictate the calibration interval.

Absolutely. Just make sure you select a counter that can measure the specific sized particles you need to measure. Handheld model 3887 and portable models 3900 & 3910 are pre-programmed with helpful standards modes that simplify the certification process.

Our portable units are 21 CFR part 11 compliant, and an IQ/OQ is available for purchase if needed.

Validation executed as a global exercise, is a method of establishing documented evidence that shows that we have a high degree of assurance that our manufacturing process will consistently yield a product of predetermined. If a manufacturer fails to do that, the results can be disastrous. It can cost the client hundreds of thousands of dollars, increase the risk of product recall and potentially contribute to a loss of market share.

No, you don’t need a separate instrument. Model numbers 3886, 3900 & 3910 can measure these parameters just by adding optional probes to the particle counter.

Yes, in addition to our handheld and portable units we have a permanent cleanroom monitoring system that can be installed in the cleanroom for 24/7 monitoring. Because each application is unique with its needs and challenges, we suggest you give us a call if you have questions or would like help designing a system for your cleanroom.
